How to Setup Proxy on Chrome?

You can setup a proxy on Chrome by using your operating system’s proxy settings in some simple steps. They are:
Step 1: Open the Chrome Menu
The first step to setup a proxy on Chrome is to open the Chrome menu from the upper-right corner of your browser. It can be accessed by clicking on the three vertical dots present in the upper-right corner of the browser.
Step 2: Go to Settings
The next option is to open the “Settings” option from the Chrome menu.
Step 3: Click on the Advanced Option
Select the “Advanced” option under the “Settings.”
Step 4: Select “System” from the Drop-Down List
Click on the drop-down arrow next to the “Advanced” option and select the “System” option from
the drop-down list.
Step 5: Select “Open Your Computer’s Proxy Settings”
Choose “Open Your Computer’s Proxy Settings” in the “System” option under the “Advanced” settings.
Step 6: Go on “Manual Proxy Setup”
The next step is to scroll down to the “Manual Proxy Setup.”
Step 7: Enable Proxy
Below the “Manual Proxy Setup”, you will see “Use a Proxy Server.” You need to enable this option to setup a proxy on Chrome.
Step 8: Fill the Proxy Server’s Details
Enter the Proxy’s IP address and port number given by your proxy service provider. Check the box “Don’t Use the Proxy Server for Local (intranet) addresses and click on the “Save” option.
Note: For Windows 7 and older versions, go to “Internet Settings” and click on the “LAN Settings” under the “Connections” tab and then enter the IP address and the port number. Finally, click on “Ok” to save your proxy server’s settings.
