How to Use the Proxy Generator

Written by Alessia

The Rainproxy Proxy Generator allows you to quickly generate proxies based on your plan, location, proxy type, format, and other connection settings.

In this guide, we'll walk you through each option available in the Proxy Generator and explain how to generate and manage your proxies.

Accessing the Proxy Generator

To get started:

  1. Log in to your Rainproxy Dashboard.

  2. Navigate to Generator from the left-hand menu.

  3. Select the active proxy plan you want to use.

You must have an active plan with available data in order to generate proxies.

Generator Settings

Once you select your plan, you'll see the available generator settings. Some options may vary depending on the proxy plan you're using.

1. ASN

The ASN option allows you to target proxies based on a specific Autonomous System Number (ASN).

Enable the ASN checkbox if you need to use ASN-based targeting.

2. Country

Use the Country field to select the country where you want your proxies to be located.

You can search for a specific country using the search field.

If you don't require a specific location, leave the country selection at the default option available for your plan.

3. State and City

Depending on your plan and available targeting options, you can further refine your proxy location by selecting a State and City.

This allows you to target proxies more precisely within a country.

Select a state first, followed by a city when available.

Note: State and city targeting availability may vary depending on the proxy plan and location.

4. Proxy Type

Select the type of proxy session you want to generate.

The available options depend on the proxy plan you're using.

For example, you may be able to choose between Rotating and Sticky proxies.

  • Rotating proxies automatically change the IP address.

  • Sticky proxies maintain the same IP address for the selected session duration.

If you're unsure which proxy type is best for your use case, contact our support team for assistance.

5. Proxy Format

Choose the format in which you want your proxies to be generated.

Select the format that is compatible with the software, browser, scraper, or other application you plan to use.

6. Port

The Port field displays the port associated with the selected proxy configuration.

The available port may vary depending on the proxy type and plan.

7. Amount

Enter the number of proxies you want to generate.

The maximum amount you can generate depends on your selected proxy type and plan.

For rotating proxies, generating multiple proxies is generally unnecessary because the IP can rotate automatically.

8. Proxy

The Proxy field displays the proxy configuration selected for your generation request.

Available options may vary depending on your selected plan and settings.

9. Connection Speed

The Connection Speed section allows you to select your preferred connection speed.

Currently, the available options include:

  • Any

  • Slow

  • Medium

  • Fast

The connection-speed options are marked as Coming Soon while the feature is being rolled out.

10. Gateway Location

The Gateway Location section allows you to select the gateway through which your proxy connection is established.

Available gateway options may include:

  • US Gateway

  • EU Gateway

Choose the gateway that best suits your use case and network requirements.

11. Use Server IP

The Use Server IP option allows you to use the server IP instead of the standard gateway configuration when available.

Enable this option if your use case specifically requires a server IP.

12. Generate Your Proxies

Once you've configured all the settings:

  1. Review your selected options.

  2. Click Generate.

  3. Wait for the proxies to be generated.

Your generated proxies will appear in the Generated Proxies section on the right side of the page.

Copy or Download Generated Proxies

After your proxies have been generated, you can:

  • Click Copy All to copy all generated proxies to your clipboard.

  • Click Download to download the generated proxy list.

This makes it easy to transfer your proxies directly into your preferred software or application.

Proxy Generation History

The Proxy Generation History section allows you to view your previous proxy generation activity.

Use this section to keep track of proxies you have generated through the dashboard.
